Requirements for Pensionado (Retirement) Visa
To qualify for Pensionado Visa, applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria and provide the required documents. The two(2) documents needed from each retiree is as follows:
1. Proof of Pension Income
Retirees must demonstrate a lifetime monthly pension of at least USD 1,000. This pension can come from a government agency, military, or a private company pension. If retiree has dependent such as wife and children under age 18, they can be included in the visa residency application and receive permanent residency as well. For each dependent, minimum pension amount increases by USD 250 per month. The pension or retirement income must be verified through authentication process or apostilling by a Panamanian consulate.
2. Police Record
Retirees must provide a clean police record from their country of residence. All police records has a time limit and is valid for 90 days. American citizens must submit their FBI report and Canadian citizens must submit their RCMP report.
